Kettering, September 17, 2009- Help shelter pets by creating a poster
that encourages people to adopt their pets from animal shelters.
Rosewood Arts Centre and SICSA (The Society for the Improvement of
Conditions of Stray Animals) have teamed up to help spread the word that
shelter pets make great pets. The artwork can feature any pets(s) and
can be made out of any material other than digital or photo. The
artwork must be 11”x17” (vertical or horizontal). The poster
contest for artists in 5th-8th grades runs now until Monday October 5th.
Winners will be notified on October 12th.
The winning posters will be on display at Rosewood Arts Centre then
relocate to SICSA for display and auction at the Red Dog Auction (2010)
to help raise money for SICSA programs. The winning work will not be
returned. The juror is Amy Kollar Anderson, Artist and Gallery
Coordinator for the Rosewood Gallery. Winners receive gift certificates
from The Greene, Buffalo Wild Wings, Milanos and Rosewood Arts Centre
and receive a SICSA t-shirt and tote filled with goodies.
