We’re looking for an intern who wants real world experience in a Marketing department, with exposure to all aspects of catalog print and production as we proof, edit and print our annual catalog.



Job Summary: The Graphic Artist Intern will be responsible for layout and graphic changes to the 2011 HCL Catalog. The candidate will also coordinate the routing of the 2011 Catalog. Utilize InDesign CS4 program to produce and correct art files.

· Layout and design for catalogs and other direct mail pieces.

· Produce final PDFs for the printer.

· Assist with photography set-up as needed.


Skills and Abilities:

· Coursework and experience in Graphic Design

· Attention to graphic detail

· Ability to follow written and verbal directions

· Extensive Mac and InDesign experience.

· Basic Photoshop experience

· Basic experience in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.

· Able to work in a team environment and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Respect for tight deadlines

· Excellent attendance and above average punctuality are necessary.

Local Business Looking to Hire Art Student

Hello, I am a local business owner in need of an artist that specializes in freehand sketches and drawings. I need to create a brochure for an upcoming trade show in June, so I need to find someone as soon as possible. The brochure will need to have about 4-5 small drawings that show a step-by-step progression of how to use a product. I have a logo that was created by another designer to be used in the brochure.
