Call for Filmmakers

Beginning in September the Bureau for Open Culture at Columbus College of Art & Design will proudly welcome five international artist collectives to Columbus for participation in the exhibition Descent to Revolution. Artists will reside for varying lengths of time to produce projects specific to the social and economic conditions of the city. These projects will not take place inside the traditional space of the gallery but in concert with community and physical mediums outside of it. Always open to discoveries of process and collaboration, we invite documentary filmmakers to produce a short film about the exhibition, the artists, their works and the audience.

The filmmakers will have access to the artists, curators and participants to
make a film that, hopefully, will both augment their filmmaking intents and act as a valuable, lasting record of Descent to Revolution. Filmmakers interested in documenting Descent to Revolution, we’d love to hear from you!

Please contact us at (614) 222-3270 or bureau@bureauforopenculture.org
